Thank you for registering for the Great American Cleanup! We’re excited to announce a new grant program to complement and enhance your GAC event! In partnership with Keep America Beautiful and Lowe’s, KTB is excited to announce the “Love Where You Live” Community Vitality Grant. In 200 words or less tell KTB how your upcoming GAC event enhances the quality of life in your community. Winners will receive $500.00 to go toward their spring GAC event.  If you receive the grant you are required to do the following on or before May 31, 2015:


Grant Benefits

  • $400.00 check made out to the KTB affiliate to go toward GAC activities. $100.00 to be sent after Final Progress pictures submitted. By submitting pictures you are giving permission to KTB to use on web, print materials, social media. Monies must go toward 2015 GAC activities. Activities must fall within the eligible GAC activities listed here: http://www.kab.org/site/PageServer?pagename=gac_the_program.

Eligibility

  • KTB affiliates with Gold Star, Silver Star or Good Standing status.
  • GAC/DMWTTO event must be registered on the KTB Calendar. Link to add to calendar here: https://www.tfaforms.com/311011 

Timeline

  • April 6, 2015: Application due to KTB.
  • May 31, 2015: Final progress pictures submitted and social media posts completed.

Criteria 

  1. Grant recipients must post 2 photos of their GAC event to Facebook and/or Twitter, tagging the following, and including the hashtag #lovewhereyoulivetx.

    Keep America Beautiful - @keepamericabeautiful (Facebook) @kabtweet (Twitter)

  2. Engage local store Lowe’s employees (Lowe’s Heroes) in project. If no store in your area, contact the corporate office to invite to your community.  
  3. Submit 5 pictures to KTB that tell the story of why your community members “love where they live." Pictures need to be high quality and visually support the “Love Where You Live” Community Vitality Grant vision you shared in your submission.
