Trip Preferences

Be sure to check the NEW Summer 2025 trip dates and routes and pay careful attention to the boarding and disembarking locations! Remember, SALTS does not provide transportation to or from the dock.

Medical and Dietary Considerations

We need to be notified of any significant dietary requirement (celiac disease, anaphylactic allergy, etc.) or health condition, as indicated in our Physical & Mental Fitness Requirements

Please check the appropriate box and we will contact you for more details and communication about the accommodations possible. 
After trainees have been assigned to a trip, they will report ALL dietary requests (i.e., vegetarian, dairy free, etc.), medical conditions and medications on their Trainee Profile form.

Your credit will be applied to your summer registration fee for 2025.

Your credit will be applied first to your Summer 2025 registration fee and the remaining credit will be applied to reduce your total trip fee which will then be divided into three equal payments
If you prefer to have your credit applied to reduce or eliminate the first payment, and any remaining credit applied to the next payment(s), check this box.
Your trip assignment email will include a summary of your account with your credit applied.
Bursary Programs

Please note that bursary applications can only be submitted after we are able to assign the applicant to one of their requested trips. The trip assignment notification email will include a custom bursary application link connected to their registration. 

Recipients of the Indigenous Youth Bursary will receive a refund of the $150.00 registration fee after they have completed their trip and submitted a post-trip letter. However, the registration fee is not refundable if the bursary recipient cancels after the cancellation deadline as posted on our website.
All trip registrations are subject to the $150.00 registration fee; however, if a bursary applicant qualifies for and is awarded funding that covers the entire cost of the trip, they will receive a refund of the registration fee after they have completed their trip and fulfilled any bursary recipient obligations.

Registration Fee Payment

You will be taken to the Registration Fee Payment form when you "submit".

If someone else will be paying the registration fee for you, they can use the  payment link you will receive by email shortly. Just forward it to them, and their payment will be applied to your account. 

Trips are assigned based on the date & time the Trip Request was received, so ensure that your registration fee payment is submitted within 48 hours of this Trip Request to maintain your trip assignment order!
