Thank you for your interest in participating in the WIOA Youth-New Biz Entrepreneurship 101 training program! Open to out-of-school participants aged 16-24 years old, this program will start the week of March 16, 2027 and run for 12 weeks until June 10th, 2027. The class will meet twice a week, once in-person and once online for 2.5 hours for a total of 5 hours/week plus a 1-hour biweekly virtual check-in with your mentor. You will also be required to complete coursework independently, outside of class hours.

What will you gain from participating in this program?

• Understanding how to leverage your skills and talent to create a new business 
• Knowledge of entrepreneurship 101, financial literacy, and business marketing

•       1-1 guidance and mentorship support from a business owner throughout the program

• Practice presenting your business pitch to potential partners, customers, and investors 
• Industry-recognized credential opportunity through the Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ESB) certification exam
  
  

As part of your participation in the program, you’ll receive a free laptop to keep and stipend. You are NOT eligible for the New Biz Program if you are currently attending school (as defined by state law)
