๐Ÿš€ Now launching the second cycle of the 2025 Next Gen Career Programme! This innovative structured programme is designed to help you enhance your employability skills, learn from industry professionals, and build your own network of like-minded peers.


๐Ÿ’ผ What can the programme offer you?
You will get bespoke support in finding and applying for placement opportunities, dedicated 1-2-1 career coaching, and insight into one of the City's oldest livery companies, the WCIB


Weโ€™re not looking for top grades โ€” what matters most is that youโ€™re driven, committed, and eager to learn. If youโ€™re ready to challenge yourself and take steps toward your future career, weโ€™d love to hear from you. โœจ


๐Ÿค This cycle is in partnership with the Worshipful Company of International Bankers (WCIB), giving you the chance to learn from industry-leading professionals. Youโ€™ll explore a wide range of roles within Financial services across the programme. Some of the events will be attended by volunteers from the WCIB, and others will be hosted with other Financial services organisations โ€” giving you insight from a wide range of volunteers and companies.


๐Ÿ‘€ Who are we looking for?
Weโ€™re looking for 50 enthusiastic and motivated Undergraduate students who are looking to pursue a career in Finance and are looking for your FIRST paid professional placement. 


Please note that this programme is targeting students who have not yet secured their first paid professional placement.

What would you need to commit to? 
The programme is made up of 5 events (4 in person opportunities and 1 online session) Dates will be confirmed shortly but will likely be taking place between December and March.

๐Ÿ’ก  After the programme, youโ€™ll get access to 1:1 online career coaching at times that suit you. These sessions will be bespoke to your needs and will help you find your dream apprenticeship. 


๐Ÿ“ All in-person sessions take place in London at a variety of corporate partner offices.


๐Ÿ’ธ If youโ€™re travelling from outside London, a small travel bursary is available, but you will need to apply for it โ€” make sure to note this in your application and include your estimated return ticket price.

Being care experienced means you will have spent time living with foster carers under local authority care, in residential care (e.g. a childrenโ€™s home), looked after at home under a supervision order, or in kinship care with relatives or friends, either officially (e.g. a special guardianship order) or informally without local authority support.
