Fellow Application

Guidelines for Applying to be an Encore Fellow

Encore Fellows are engaged in time limited, high-impact, capacity building projects for 1000 hours, which typically take one year to complete (working 20 hours per week). Encore Fellows work collaboratively with nonprofit teams, utilizing their experience and skills to advance the organizations's mission. As an Encore Fellow, you will make a meaningful impact, receive an introduction to the nonprofit sector, and have opportunities for professional and personal growth. At this time, Encore Fellowships are offered only in United States.

Eligible candidates for an Encore Fellowship:
  • Must pass I9 employment eligibility verification
  • Have 20+ years of paid, mostly US-based work experience,
  • Have deep interest in contributing their expertise to a social impact orgaization,
  • Can commit to 1000 hours for a capacity-building project that pays a stipend of $25,000 over the project's duration,
  • Are available to work onsite/hybrid/remotely for approximately 12 months for an average of 20 hours per week during business hours.
