SIR Diversity and Inclusiveness Microgrant Program

A key initiative for SIR is foster diversity within interventional radiology support diversity initiatives through research and programing at the local or institution level aimed at increasing diversity within the specialty.

SIR has created a microgrant program to provide grants to fund innovative ways practices can improve inclusiveness and support research aimed at increasing awareness of the diversity and inclusiveness for the specialty

The D&I Grant Review Committee caps all grant funds at $1,000. Grant applicants seeking additional funding are encouraged to resubmit for the additional funding as necessary.

Grant Description

1. Describe the project, including the purpose of the project, activities that will be conducted, and how the project improves diversity and inclusiveness within Interventional Radiology and/or your practice setting. Describe the population and/or the unmet need the project addresses. Please add references as appropriate.

2. What are the specific goals (measurable outcomes) for the project? List numerically in order of priority.

3. For each of the goals listed, provide a brief evaluation plan of how you will collect information (for example using data or metrics) which will allow SIR to assess if the project goals have been met.

4. Include an itemized budget for the full project, with justification, and indicate which line items are being requested from SIR. (Please include an itemized budget of how the grant funds will be used)
