Volunteer with 826 Valencia’s Creative Team!

We work with creative volunteers on a per project basis. When we have a project, such as a publication, brochure, poster, event branding and collateral, or store product, we review applicants’ portfolios and reach out to volunteers that would be a goof fit for the project. Most creative volunteers work remotely. Photographers do work with us on-site at scheduled photo shoots during programming hours in our Mission and Tenderloin centers and at our in-schools locations.

Although not required of creative volunteers, if I choose to volunteer in a tutoring capacity with students, I give permission for 826 Valencia to conduct a background check on me, which may include a review of sex offender registries, child abuse, and criminal activity records. I understand that, if appointed, my position is conditional upon the staff at 826 receiving no inappropriate information on my background. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless from liability to 826 Valencia, the employees and volunteers thereof, or any person or organization that may provide such information.

I hereby grant to 826 Valencia, and its authorized agents, vendors, officers, directors, employees, licensees, affiliates, successors, and assigns the non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual, world-wide right and license to use, reproduce, display, perform, edit, create derivative works of, and distribute, in whole or in part, any photographs and/or recordings taken by me during activities sponsored by 826 Valencia, for any purpose, in any and all manner or media now known or hereinafter developed.

I acknowledge that I also understand that 826 Valencia appreciates me and my enthusiasm, but I also acknowledge that 826 Valencia is not obligated to appoint me to a volunteer position.
