Oakland Promise is excited in your interest in attending our Inaugural Winter Career Conference. As a Scholar, you have the opportunity of attending one of the professional development workshops listed below.

Workshop #1: LinkedIn & Networking
Learn how to set up your LinkedIn profile for optimal use and tips to get a conversation going!

Workshop #2: Resume Building & Interviewing
The first step of any job search is getting in the door and YOUR resume is the key. Get support making the best first impression. 

Workshop #3: Financial Management
What's your relationship with money? Learn budgeting basics, financial lingo, and best practices!


Networking Mixer Insight Questions
The Winter Career Conference will culminate with a one-hour Networking Mixer from 12:00-1:00 PM. This will be an opportunity for OP Scholars to practice the skills they learned in one of the earlier workshops. We expect variance with Scholars' experience and confidence levels around networking. Please complete the section below as a way to help Scholars break the ice. Note: Your answers will be shared with Scholars before or during the event.
