I understand that this Code of Conduct agreement is to be applied fairly and equitably on a case by case basis.

I understand that my action(s) inconsistent with this Code of Conduct agreement may result in removal from my position.

I understand that this Code of Conduct agreement does not abrogate or replace any other obligations that I have under any applicable law, guideline, policy, or regulation.
Confidentiality Agreement
  1. CAN staff and volunteers may not ever discuss client particulars with other clients or employees from other agencies unless they have explicit, written permission from the client and CAN Executive Director.

  2. CAN staff and volunteers may discuss client particulars with others not working or volunteering for CAN (and not specified above), in the context of a service-oriented classroom experience as long as they do not use any identifying information and they have explicit, written permission from the CAN Executive Director.

  3. CAN staff and volunteers may discuss client particular using identifying information only with a CAN staff member or a person fulfilling a Social Work internship.

  4. Only approved CAN staff are permitted to take and/or use photos of CAN's children and adult clients unless they have explicit, written permission from the CAN Executive Director.

  5. All employees, contractors, and affiliates are prohibited from disclosing or sharing any confidential information without obtaining explicit written authorization from the Executive Director of CAN. This includes all non-public, proprietary, or sensitive information related to the organization's operations, including but not limited to client information, CAN data, educational materials, flyer templates, strategic plans, financial data, donor and funding details, staff and volunteer records, partnership agreements, legal documents, and internal procedures.




You may not post a picture of CAN clients on your personal social media account. You may, however, share a post that CAN has published on its social media accounts.
Please also refer to the National Association of Social Workers' (NASW) Code of Ethics for additional guidance on CAN's expectations for ethical behavior.
