APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS 


Thank you for applying to the Cybersecurity Talent Initiative (CTI). Below are the instructions to complete your application. As a reminder, this application form will close on Friday, November 13, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. EST. If you have any questions, please contact CTI staff at info@cybertalentinitiative.org

 

The 2020 application form has three steps. You must complete all steps to be considered for this year's program.   
 
 Step 1 - Personal Information


All applicants must click "Start Application" below and complete all fields on the ensuing page in order to move forward with the rest of the application. 

 

 

Step 2 - Application Form


Educational background
. List all schools attended, depending on your level of education. You must upload and submit transcripts (unofficial transcripts will suffice) for each school you list. 


Professional background and references. Upload and submit your current professional resume to highlight your work experience, including any internships. You may also note any current cybersecurity certifications on this page. Provide contact information of two references as well as the person that you identify to complete the CTI Endorsement Form to verify your technical capabilities. Further details and instructions on the endorsement form is in the application. The endorsement form must be completed directly by the person you list (the endorser), and we must receive it directly from the endorser no later than Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at 11:59 p.m. EST.


Essays. You will be asked to complete four (4) short essay questions that will help assess your candidacy to the program. These essay topics include your leadership experience, problem-solving capabilities, and interest in cybersecurity and this cross-sector opportunity.

Military service and demographic information. 
You will be asked if you served in the military and to provide supporting documents.
According to federal regulations, agencies must apply veterans’ preference as part of their selection process. Demographic information is optional.

You will receive communications via email at the following times:   

·       When your application form is complete and submitted, and

·       When your endorser completes the endorsement form.
