About Hunger Free San Diego: Hunger Free San Diego is a collaboration
of agencies and community residents leading the fight against hunger in
our region, that is facilitated by San Diego Hunger Coalition. This initiative is guided by an Advisory Board, comprised
of more than 30 experts representing emergency food providers, social
service agencies, government agencies, healthcare providers, school
districts, early education providers, researchers, funders, and other
aligned collaboratives; and a Community Advisory Council, comprised of
community resident leaders with lived experience accessing and
connecting people to food assistance resources. The Hunger Free San
Diego initiative provides in-depth look at the landscape of hunger and
hunger relief services in San Diego County, highlighting collective
impact as well as unmet need and opportunities to further invest and scale
promising solutions. It will take all of us to end hunger in our
region, and Hunger Free San Diego is setting the table for a
data-driven, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
