Our Voices Have Power: Head Start Storybanking

The movement for equitable access to early childhood education and care is strongest when we amplify the voices of people within the Head Start community. Personal stories make all the difference.

As advocates for an equitable early childhood education and care system that works for everyone, we want to lift up a broad range of stories to illustrate the impact of policies on people’s everyday lives. Our goal is to find and preserve stories we can use at the exact moment we need them‒when we are launching a campaign, writing an op-ed, or sending a message to a key member of Congress.

Learning about your experiences will allow NHSA to share the impact of Head Start’s critical work with a national audience, building support for our community. Understanding the realities in your program right now helps NHSA's government affairs team build relationships with decision makers and make the case for funding to meet current needs.

Thank you for your participation. Please share this link with Head Start families and staff in your community.
