Once a year in November the whole world comes together to remember our fallen heroes. At Scotty’s Little Soldiers, we know that for our Members and Springboarders who have experienced the death of a parent who served in the Armed Forces, remembrance is everyday.
Each month, the team here at Scotty’s would like to pay tribute to one of our heroes.
What we do:
- We write an article about your hero and put it on our website and our social media sites.
- We create a short video containing a slideshow of photos. This goes on our You Tube Channel and on social media. This is something that you can share with friends and family, giving everyone a chance to remember your parent.
- The article and video are also shared in the Springboarders monthly email, families email and our supporter email.
- We will put a picture of the them in our special Hero Of The Month frame for that month and hang it with pride on the wall at Scotty HQ for all our team and visitors to see.
- Each Friday during our team huddle (meeting) Hayley from the families team will share with the whole team a little bit about them.
How we do it:- You complete this sign up form.
- When your hero is selected (at random), someone from our team will call you to have a chat with you about your hero and may ask a few more questions.
- The article is written from the information on this form and from what you share in the phone call.
- You provide between 6 and 10 images of your parent and we create the video.
- We share the article and video with you to check it is correct and that you are happy with it.
