This annual award is presented to a member of the Community Home Trust family who exemplifies the definition of a “good neighbor.” The Good Neighbor Award honors Deanna Carson, our CHT colleague who passed away in 2020. Deanna approached life with selfless motivation, always putting others before herself. She went out of her way to meet the needs of others, providing food, shelter, and comfort to those who needed it. She took time to get to know each person individually: not just their name, but the names of their children, where they worked, and their own personal stories that made them special. She gave her time and resources generously, in hopes of making someone else’s life better.   

The recipient of the Good Neighbor Award is a CHT homeowner or tenant who embodies these same characteristics as part of the CHT community: selflessness, caring, generosity, and a commitment to their neighbors. They are very involved in their community, either as an active member of their HOA or TAC or through other community organizations, formal or informal.
