Welcome to the 2024-25 ORTOP Team Support Application.

Please submit this form to request funding through ORTOP's Team Support Program. Team Support awards are competitive due to both requirements of our grantors, and generally limited funding.

Teams who are sponsored by a school or nonprofit organization are generally eligible for ORTOP Team Support Awards. Limited funding may be available to other teams who serve youth who have historically been excluded from STEM opportunities and meet criteria for restricted funds.

Please tell us about unique or specific circumstances that your team(s) face this season. Our volunteer reviewers appreciate receiving concise information, and also value reading your responses about your program, successes, and challenges.

You may save your edits and return to this page as needed prior to submitting. A Request for Proposals (RFP) with additional information and resources is available at www.ortop.org/team-support/

About Your Teams

IMPORTANT
Note: Each team must have two coaches registered in the FIRST Dashboard, prior to attending an event.
Please complete this section for each team included in this funding request.

Note: To add an additional team, please select "Click here to add another Team to your application" below.

"Returning" and "New" team status as is used in this application are different from the FIRST Rookie and Veteran Team status. A "New" team is defined as a team at a location that has not had a team in the prior 3 years -or- as an additional team to a location with all existing teams returning. A "Returning" team is a team at a location or program that has had a FIRST team in the past 3 years, even if all of the team members are new.

Please make any updates to the Team Name in the FIRST Dashboard. This field is used to help identify an existing team in case you enter an incorrect team number (typo, etc) - it happens! Your entry here will *not* update the official Team Name with FIRST.

Every Team must have two (2) adult leaders. We understand that you may not know who these leaders are at this time. However, it is important that each team is supported by at least two adults.

An adult may not serve as both Lead Coach #1 and Lead Coach #2.
If there is a single Lead Coach for multiple teams, the second Lead Coach must be different for each team. That is: the same two adults can not be LC1 and LC2 for more than one team.
