Please provide a personal statement that responds to each of the following questions (250 to 500 words per question): 
    1. Please share your journey that has led to your current position?
    2. Where do you want to see yourself in the next 5-10 years?
    3. What challenges are you currently facing in your leadership and career journey
    4. What is the major motivating factor that has led to your applying for the LEAP Advance Program and what do you hope to gain through your participation in the program?
In a Personal Statement, please explain why are you interested in the LEAP Engage Program? Please include:
  • Why are you interested in LEAP Engage at this time in your career?
  • What you hope to gain from the experience
  • Could you tell us about your career path? How did you end up doing the work that you currently do? Why did you decide to work in the nonprofit sector?
  • What goals do you have for you organization in the near future (3 to 5 years)?
  • Is there anything else you would like our selection committee to consider regarding your application?
In a single document, please answer the following questions (Each short answer response should be limited to 500 words maximum).

LEAP Emerge works to place interns with API serving organizations, please upload a Personal Statement (ex: Word document) addressing the following questions: 

  • How do your lived experiences make you an ideal candidate for the Emerge fellowship? (500 words)

  • What sector/industry are you most passionate about working for? Why? (500 words)

  • Describe a topic or area of interest you are most curious about in the professional workforce. (250 words) 

  • What does community mean to you? (250 words)

  • How can the Emerge fellowship help you achieve your professional goals? (250 words)  

  • This fellowship requires gathering virtually 1-3 times a month. Please describe your schedule or other commitments you have for the upcoming year. This will not impact your acceptance into the program but help us plan our program effectively. 

Please acquire a Letter of Recommendation from the President, Chancellor, or Senior Administrator at your institution.
Please provide a letter from your ED supporting your commitment and participation in LEAP Impact. If you are unable to upload now, please send to lkojima@leap.org.
