Questions for Teen to Answer

Shomrim includes wilderness backcountry trips that involve carrying a heavy backpack while hiking over rough terrain. This trip is open to anyone with a basic level of fitness and is interested in joining—beginning and experienced backpackers alike! That being said, it will be helpful for the staff to know a little more about you.

Please share a time you encountered a challenge in nature and how you handled it.

Kids of many Jewish and multi-faith backgrounds are welcome in Shomirm. Some are raised with a lot of Jewish practice in their homes and are having a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and others have never learned anything about Judaism before.
