Path with Art has been invited by the Fremont Arts Council to create a float and participate in the 2023 Fremont Solstice Parade! This is
the 33rd year of the event and associated Fremont Fair and is our Community Connection project this year.
About the Float:
In collaborative input sessions, Path with Art Ambassadors (participant artists who have taken four or more classes and volunteer their time as peer leaders) determined the theme for the float “Riding the Wave of Creativity.” Honoring the natural beauty of the Seattle area, the float uses the Salish Sea as inspiration, combined with the power of creativity. The float will feature a wave full of art tools and materials as well as an orca whale that spouts creativity. On top of the float, the Path with Art band will be performing, along with various members of the community including participants, staff, and potential board members walking or dancing alongside.
As a Community Connections project, Path with Art will host public float-building sessions held at the Fremont Powerhouse. We hope many supporters and friends of Path with Art will help us bring the float to life. Please note float-building may happen outdoors--please wear clothing you feel comfortable in and appropriate for the weather.
