Our Drop-Off Points are managed by volunteers. Please bear this in mind when making contact, as response times be affected during busier periods.

We wish this wasn’t the case, but most of the bikes we receive in Condition 3 (selected above) cannot be repaired to a high enough safety standard for our bike recipients, and thus need to be scrapped or recycled for parts. Unfortunately, this is done at a cost to the charity. Please only proceed with this bike registration if you’re confident this bike can be ridden again.

Issues include: rusted/dented/cracked frame, buckled wheels, missing spokes, seized seatpost etc.

As this bike is registered with BikeRegister please transfer ownership to the bike's new owner (The Bike Project). This is a very quick process!

CLICK HERE for transfer instructions - you will need to enter info@thebikeproject.co.uk as our email address. Thanks!

This info will be seen by our mechanics once your bike reaches our workshop

Help us claim an extra 25% via Retail Gift Aid...

Most of the bikes we receive are either donated to refugees or sold through our online shop. The proceeds from these sales are used to fund even more bikes for refugees. Any bikes that we are unable to refurbish for donation or sale will be responsibly recycled and cannot be returned.

If you are a UK taxpayer and the bike you are donating belongs to you personally and is sold, The Bike Project can claim an additional 25% of its value through Retail Gift Aid.

Please provide your home address below. The Bike Project needs this info in order to claim Retail Gift Aid on your donation...

Gift Aid Declaration

Please tick the box below to confirm that…  *

1. The bike(s) I am donating belongs to me personally and not to any other person(s).

2. In the event that my donation goes on to be sold in The Bike Project Shop:

a) I want to Gift Aid my donation and any donations I may make in the future or have made in the past 4 years to The Bike Project.

b) I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

c) I will notify The Bike Project of any change in my personal circumstances, such as name and address, or that I no longer pay UK Income or Capital Gains tax or I wish to cancel the declaration.

3. In the event that my donation goes on to be sold in The Bike Project Shop, it will be sold under the terms of The Bike Project's Agency Agreement - CLICK HERE TO VIEW.

Wow! This is really generous of you - thank you for thinking of The Bike Project.

Please indicate below how many bikes you have for us, where you would like to drop these bikes off (or if you need them to be collected), upload a single photo that includes as many of the bikes as possible, and a member of our team will be in touch to confirm the details of your donation!

If you're not sure, please provide an approximate figure

Please note - collecting bikes can be expensive, and affects how we allocate the charity's funds. If you are located a long way from one of our workshops, it may affect our ability to collect your donation. Please also be aware there may be occasional delays while we coordinate a van in your area.
