The Rosalynn Carter Insititute for Caregivers (RCI) is always working to develop programming and resources that meet your needs! With that goal in mind, we recently sent out a Caregiver Choice Survey to get feedback and over 200 military caregivers responded. THANK YOU for your participation!
Based on your feedback, RCI has decided to discontinue offering the Operation Caregiver Support (OCS) peer-support groups effective 8/1/23. This was a difficult decision for us, and we want you to know that we are still committed to ensuring that you get the support you need.
We have connected with our partners at the American Red Cross Military Veteran Caregiver Network (MVCN) to ensure that you could continue with a peer support program if you so choose. MVCN offers peer-based support and services to connect those providing care to service members and veterans living with wounds, illness, injuries and/or aging. MVCN is prepared to welcome any OCS caregivers who wish to continue connecting with their fellow caregivers in a support group environment. You will even have the opportunity to connect with some of your fellow OCS caregivers Thursday evenings on the MVCN platform.
Although OCS is ending, we are still enrolling military caregivers in Operation Family Caregiver (OFC), RCI’s 1:1 coaching program! If you’ve never participated in OFC or wish to refer a fellow caregiver of a service member or veteran, please take a minute to fill out this referral form if you’re interested: Operation Family Caregiver
Stay tuned for new and exciting programs to enhance your caregiver journey. Thank you for being a caregiver!
