AmeriCorps 2024 Community Reviewer Application

Applicant Information

The Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA), established in 1991, is a private, nonprofit organization.  As the state commission on volunteerism and service, we generate collaboration and public-private partnerships at the local, state and federal level to grow volunteerism and service initiatives in Massachusetts.  Our strong partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies allow us to mobilize funding to advance service and volunteerism through the AmeriCorps, Commonwealth Corps, and Volunteer Generation Initiatives programs.

MSA is seeking qualified individuals to play an active role in our site partner application review process. MSA recognizes the importance of equity and accessibility in the distribution of its resources. With that goal in mind, we are seeking individuals who represent diverse communities across the Commonwealth to contribute to the decision-making process around grantee selection.

MSA is currently seeking reviewers to assist with Competitive Program Grants: Three-year grants to operate an AmeriCorps program in Massachusetts. Reviewers will make recommendations on which applicants are moved forward in the federal grants competition.

The Community Reviews will all take place virtually on Monday, October 21st 4:00-5:30 PM.

Reviewers will read and comment on 2-4 applications, generally a 1-3 hour commitment, and participate in a 1.5 hour long virtual discussion. All reviewers who complete the reviews and attend the discussion will receive a $50 Amazon gift card in appreciation.

Please note what information that you are asked to provide on each page:
