Cancellations:
Artist/Culture Bearer Cancellation: Please cancel within at least two days prior to your reservation. Instructions will be provided on how to cancel your reservation with our booking system.
Facility Cancellation: If Belwin needs to cancel your reservation due to weather, facility management, etc. Belwin will email and call to cancel reservations if the facility becomes unavailable. The most likely situation where this may apply is with winter weather since this facility is located on rural roads. In this situation, a cancellation may be short notice; please check your messages before coming out for your reserved time.
General Guidelines and Rules:
- Access and rules may change due to ongoing restoration activities.
- Access is only allowed from designated entrances and during designated times.
- Feel free to use the deck of the main building, unless another group is renting the building, in which case we’ll let you know. Note: the main building is not for use by Day-Long Retreat attendees.
- Stay on designated trails and respect private property.
- When you are on the trails, pack out whatever you pack in.
- No fires in the fireplace of the building or outside.
- No dogs in the building or on the land.
- No smoking in the building or on the land (if you must smoke please do so in your car, and leave cigarette butts in your car as well).
The following are not allowed at Belwin:
Bikes, Camping, Drones, Fires, Fireworks, Fishing, Foraging, Harassment, Horses, Hunting, Littering, Motorized Vehicles, Picking Flowers, Racial profiling, Removal of Vegetation, Smoking/Vaping, Stream Access, Weapons
Harassment:
Belwin Conservancy prohibits harassment, including, but not limited to, race, age, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ability. Belwin Conservancy considers harassment to be a major offense that can result in the termination of this agreement and any future access to Belwin land and facilities. If the artist/culture bearer experiences harassment at Belwin please notify a staff member immediately.
Clean up:
Artist/Culture Bearer will clean up all food and beverages, including washing dishes if applicable. Place any used towels in the hamper in the bathroom closet. If trash and/or recycling are full, please bag and put in designated trash bins outside at the end of the day. Land and facilities will be left in good condition, including returning any furniture that has been moved to its original locations.
Artist/culture bearer agrees to be responsible for all costs of repairing any damage to the facility not related to normal wear and tear. Damage to land or facilities, or not following this artist agreement, may result in not being invited back to the property for future retreats.
