SEG Program Application

Thank you for considering Social Enterprise Greenhouse!

Please answer the questions below to apply for SEG’s Cohort Programs.

Our program applications consist of 2 parts: this program questionnaire and a short interview with our programs team.

We will use the answers on your questionnaire to help us identify which program is the best fit for your venture and schedule your interview with our team.

The questionnaire must be submitted by August 5th, 2024 and interviews must be completed before August 19th, 2024.

At SEG, we use the term ‘ventures’ to include entrepreneurs, small business owners, nonprofits, etc.

We ask the next four questions to determine the correct level of programming for your venture.

Based on your answers above, we think the Ideator might be a good fit for you.

You are a fit for the program if you:

Have an idea for a product or service that has not been vetted or tested
Are new to entrepreneurship & social impact
Can identify the problem your idea is working to solve
Have past experience with the challenge being addressed

By the end of the 8-week program, you will have:

Explored how social entrepreneurship relates to you as a potential entrepreneur and your idea
Developed and tested your idea
Defined the product/service you might sell, how it’s unique, and who will use it
Identified the challenge you are addressing and the value and social impact of your idea relative to other solutions out there
Determined if you want to pursue your idea, pivot to a new strategy, partner with an existing business or organization, or pass on the idea for now

Based on your answers above, we think the Incubator might be a good fit for you.

You are a fit for the program if you:

Can explain your product or service, the audience, and the intended impact
Are looking to commit to and formalize your service or product
Have received and implemented feedback on your product/service that suggests the feasibility of the product or service
Have past experience with the challenge being addressed

By the end of the 10-week program, you will have:

Created a business model canvas for your venture
Examined the financial requirements your venture needs for launch
Developed a personalized roadmap for the venture with key tasks, timelines, and next steps
Prepared and practiced the paperwork, presentation, public speaking skills necessary for pitches and financing/fundraising discussions

Based on your answers above, we think the Accelerator might be a good fit for you.

You are a fit for the program if your venture:

Has initial traction but looking to achieve the next level of growth
Has a budget and initial/start-up funds and have separate personal and business accounts
Have a mission and vision statement, website, legal entity formed, and a Beta or initial customers already served

By the end of the 12 week program, you will have:

Defined and developed your strategic priorities
Created a financial and operational plan that supports your growth plan
Identified key financial and programmatic indicators
Further developed a comprehensive branding and communications strategy
Built a compelling pitch for your business or organization
Received intensive individualized coaching from industry experts
