2025 Helen and L.S. Wong Memorial Scholarship

The Helen and L.S. Wong Memorial Scholarship was established by a private donor in honor of the donor's parents, Helen and L.S. Wong, to provide educational opportunities for students of Asian heritage from Fairfield and Suisun, California. The donor would like to support practical and focused students in pursuing an undergraduate degree. 
Award Information 
Up to three recipients will be selected and awarded a one-time $3,000 scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria 
  • Grade level: Rising freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college/university or a community college (with a strong commitment to transfer to a four-year institution) in the 2025-26 academic year
  • Resident of Fairfield or Suisin, CA or graduating senior of a high school in Fairfield or Suisun, CA
  • Financial need
  • Ethnic heritage: Asian heritage 
  • Minimum GPA: 2.8

Scholarship Application 
The deadline to submit is Friday, April 11, 2025 by 11:59PM.  
Five to ten finalists will be selected. Finalists must submit official transcript(s), FAFSA submission summary (formerly the Student Aid Report), and SAT/ACT scores if available.
Preparing Your Application 
  1. Your application is comprised of the following materials below. To be considered for review, all materials must be submitted by the deadline. 
  2. Online application form 
  3. Essays 
  4. Resume 
  5. Financial data for self and parents, as reported on your FAFSA or CADAA 
    Estimates will be accepted, but data from your Submission Summary (formerly Student Aid Report) will be required if selected to be a finalist. 
  6. Most recent transcripts, including grading scale
    Unofficial transcripts will be accepted but official transcripts will be required if selected to be a finalist. 
  7. Two letters of recommendations, at least one of which is from a current teacher or professor
    Letters should be on official school or organization letterhead. Please include the student’s first and last name.
