Funding Aims
The following questions (5 & 6) will be scored on a scale of 1 to 5, please see the guidance for our scoring criteria.
5. Please detail your track record and experience as either:
5.1. a National Pro Bono Charity
5.2. a legal advice charity offering Pro Bono provision

6. How will you use the funding to meet the aims of this grant programme, outlined below?
  • Support national pro bono charities
  • Support local legal advice charities to establish, increase and/or sustain their pro bono activity

(social welfare law includes areas of family, welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment, immigration, community care, mental health and disability)

  • Support increased access to justice for disabled people

(Please note your that pro bono service can be available to all, but we will prioritise applications which can demonstrate that their pro bono activity will support people with disabilities.) 


Finance

We will be conducting a financial assessment of your organisation and will review the information provided in your application and on the charity commission website. If we have any questions, we will be in touch to request further information.

 

As part of the financial assessment, an overall rating of A-C will be given for this section. Please see the guidance  On our scoring criteria.

We will use the information you give us in your submission and in supporting documents for: assessing applications, monitoring grants and evaluating the way our funding programmes work and the effect they have.

We may also give copies of this information to individuals and organisations such as:

  • Accountants, auditors and external evaluators
  • Other organisations and individuals with a legitimate interest in our grants
  • Other organisations for the prevention and detection of fraud

The Access to Justice Foundation will keep information on successful projects for 7 years after the final delivery date.
