Administrative Support - Assist the program with various administrative tasks that keep the program running smoothly.
Basic Needs - Food - Assist clients with food pantry use, and applications for SNAP. This could also include research on food resources and program support around food-related needs.
Basic Needs - Housing - Volunteers helping with housing support assist clients with researching and applying for affordable housing; apartment set up for new arrivals if working with Immigrant Services This could also include supporting case managers in housing-related tasks.
Citizenship - The Citizenship program is designed to aid immigrant and refugee families in the United States. It is specifically designed to assist eligible members of the community in obtaining citizenship.
NORC - Which stands for Naturally Occurring Retirement Community, is specifically designed to provide support to older adults living in two public housing properties located in Framingham. An activity based service focused on improving the health of older adults living in public housing.
Patient Navigator - Patient Navigator volunteers are trained to help older adults advocate for themselves during the appointments. This means they assist the older adult in making sure their questions are answered and that they get the information they need to optimize their health and well-being.
Refugee Resettlement - This program supports refugees and immigrants who have recently arrived in the state with transportation, Housing and housing set up, ESL, job readiness training and everything else in between.
Resource Room - The JFS Resource Room provides basic needs items to families throughout the district, including clothes, shoes, school supplies, personal care items, seasonal items such as winter coats and boots, hats, and gloves, sheets, blankets, and children's toys/games. Volunteers sort and organize donated and new items to help us keep track of inventory and help prepare clothing packages to distribute to families.
Social Connectors - Volunteers call assigned clients on regular basis to complete wellness checks and reduce social isolation. Support the work of the case managers by identifying needs for follow-up.
