No climate action without us survey. Disabled music creatives. Attitude is Everything. Julie's Bicycle. A Greener Future. Arts Council England.

Attitude is Everything wants to encourage and empower disabled music creatives to consider and implement environmental responsible practices* in their work from rehearsals and performing at live events to the selling of merchandise and the use of equipment and technology.

We know that environmental responsible practices are often in conflict with the access required for disabled music creatives be part of the music industry.

Our ‘No Climate Action Without Us’ toolkit can be downloaded here:

This survey will help us understand:

  • What music creatives come up against when considering their own access requirments alongside environmentally responsible practices.
  • What solutions may have been found.

The results will help us shape a resource to:

  • Support disabled music creatives to adopt more environmental responsible practices whilst still having the access they need.
  • Advocate for music industry systems and infrastructures to do the same – putting the access needs of disabled creatives and audiences at the heart of their thinking and action on sustainability and climate change.

Definitions

An environmentally responsible practice is a behaviour or action that:

  1. Makes less or minimal damage to the environment
  2. Uses renewable resources
  3. Considers where supplies come from, how they are made and where they are sourced from to reduce carbon footprint

Carbon Footprint is the amount of greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide and methane generated by our actions.

A significant amount of carbon dioxide emissions are produced by households come from using electricity and gas to heat water, keep lights on and operate appliances.
