Independent Advisory Committee Nomination Form

ArtPride New Jersey is seeking interested parties to join our Independent Advisory Committee — a group tasked with elevating historically excluded artists and arts organizations along with voices of ArtPride New Jersey members, stakeholders, and individuals. We're seeking individuals historically excluded and oppressed; specifically, those who self-identify as Black, LatinX, Asian Pacific Islander, Indigenous, and/or a Person of Color, LGBTQ+, or a Person with a Disability. Please consider joining the Independent Advisory Committee or share with colleagues who may be interested in this new opportunity.

We are asking members of the NJ arts community to please complete this form to nominate those they believe best fit this committee's goals; self nominations are welcomed and encouraged.

  • Help members build relationships with ArtPride New Jersey
  • Advocate for members’ needs and the needs of the New Jersey arts community
  • Provide accountability for staff & board on organizational goals
  • Develop a pipeline for future ArtPride New Jersey board and staff, as well as the New Jersey arts field

All members of the Independent Advisory Committee will be compensated $250 annually and receive additional benefits of personal and professional development opportunities from the ArtPride New Jersey network. Please review our committee member expectation document for more detail. Individual commitment is paramount to achieving committee goals and organizational success. Thus ArtPride New Jersey requests a minimum one-year commitment with special consideration given to member engagement during the first 90 days of the term, during which ArtPride New Jersey and the new member can gauge fit.

Self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged. Please share this with colleagues you feel would best fit this committee.

Please contact Vincent Hall, Director of Advocacy Operations for more information or questions.

Deadline for submission: November 8, 2024.
