Local Government Affairs Senior Manager application
Position Summary:

The Local Government Affairs Senior Manager is part of the lobbying team at Washington Conservation Action (WCA) and works collaboratively with policy experts, partners, field, and political teams to pass impactful policies that improve the lives of people and the health of the environment.   


WCA is looking for a Local Government Affairs Senior Manager with at least two years of experience in lobbying, political campaigns, and/or issue-focused campaigns. The position reports to the Government Affairs Director. The Local Government Affairs Senior Manager works closely with the organization’s Puget Sound, Climate, Forestry, Tribal Nations, and Political programs to shape and advance complex and intersectional strategies for environmental progress. 


Compensation and Salary: 

This is a full time, exempt position with a fixed starting salary of $73,000. We also offer a generous benefits package including 100% employer paid medical and dental insurance premiums, 401k plan and organizational match of up to 3% of your annual salary, a Flexible Spending Account, four weeks of paid vacation to start, a separate pool of sick leave, thirteen paid holidays per year, six of which are at the employee’s discretion, an unlimited ORCA transit pass, professional development funds, and if you work for five consecutive years you are eligible for a two-month paid sabbatical.
