Shabbat Services and Oneg with Laura W. Brill - September 27, 2024

Please join us for a special Oneg with Laura Brill, founder and CEO of The Civics Center, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to combating youth voter suppression and low youth turnout.

“The problem is not apathy,” she says. “It is the lack of investment in welcoming young people into our democracy, helping them register, teaching them how public issues connect with their lives and showing why their votes matter.”

Laura will speak about the work of The Civics Center and how they’re making a difference, one youth vote at a time.

About Laura Brill:

Laura is an attorney, a former law clerk to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and mother of two young adults. She is an award-winning advocate with more than two decades of experience working on complex legal issues and advocating for voting rights and the LGBTQ+ community. Laura launched The Civics Center in 2018.

This is a program of the Voter Engagement Group of Temple Isaiah.

NOTE: There will be NO 5pm Israel Discussion before Shabbat.
