Pitch party is meant for beginners. To pitch all you need is an idea.

The Pitch Party is designed for those new to pitching an idea.  As part of a larger party celebrating our aspiring UD entrepreneurs, all UD students have the opportunity to pitch an entrepreneurial idea to an audience of their peers in front of a panel of judges made up of young UD entrepreneurial alumni.

 

Some of the Details:
  • Participants will have 90 seconds to pitch their ideas. Pitch alone or as a team.

  • Only 20 slots available to pitch. 

  • The competition begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.

  • Deadline to register is October 20 at 11:59pm.

  • Admission is FREE. 

Pitch Registration Information:

 

Pitch Party is Great For Beginners. All you need is an idea!


PRIZE BREAKDOWN:

  • 1st Place: $300 Cash

  • 2nd Place: $200 Cash

  • 3rd Place: $100 Cash

  • In addition, everyone who pitches gets a $20 gift card

 

Topical prizes: Most Creative, Most Promising, Most Interesting, Most Motivated

 


SUBMISSION CRITERIA & COMPETITION RULES

  • Only UD undergraduates are eligible to pitch. If your undergraduate team includes graduate students, only undergraduate students may pitch.

  • Hen Hatch Finalists and Semifinalists are NOT eligible to pitch

  • Maximum of 1 entry per person/team.

  • Pitches must be no more than 90 seconds in length.

  • Pitches may be formal, informal, creative, comedic it’s up to you so long as you pitch the idea intended.

  • Props or prototypes are permitted. Recognize, you have 90 seconds.

  • The Director of Horn Entrepreneurship shall be the arbiter of all rules and rule clarifications.

How do I register if I’m presenting by myself or presenting with a team?

Follow the link to the registration page. When registering, you will be prompted to populate your information and if warranted, that of your team members as well as a brief description of your idea.


When is the registration deadline?

The registration deadline is October 20 at 11:59pm. Presenters and Spectators must register to attend.
