Thank you for your interest in joining Hale’s Boston Marathon Team. We are honored to have 10 bibs and invite you to apply to be a part of Team Hale in 2025. Members of Team Hale enjoy many benefits that include:
- Team orientation – Teammates meet one another, tour Hale, and receive fundraising information and training guidelines at this kickoff event in November.
- Fundraising guidance – Hale requires each of its runners to raise a minimum of $10,000, but many commit to raising more. Hale staff check in with runners regarding their fundraising progress. They offer advice, suggest opportunities for collaboration, and help everyone maximize their efforts to support Hale’s belief that nature, education and recreation inspire us to learn, empower us to lead, and challenge us all to create a world in which people, place, and purpose are united.
- Supportive training –Through regular check-ins, expert running advice, and organized training runs, Team Hale runners will feel strong and prepared for race day on April 21.
- Team events – Held before and after the Boston Marathon, these events build team camaraderie and raise awareness about the importance of outdoor education. Two important events that all runners are expected to attend are on Saturday, April 19, and Tuesday, April 22.
Due to the volume of applications we receive, we are only able to offer interviews to applicants who most closely connect with our mission and who are capable of meeting our fundraising goals. We will begin reviewing applications and interviewing applicants immediately accepting members on a rolling basis.
Please note that successful applicants will be personally responsible for paying a non-refundable $35 administrative fee and $100 deposit when they verify their acceptance. They are also responsible for paying the BAA’s $375 entry fee at the time of registration for the Boston Marathon. The BAA will offer registration insurance for those interested at an additional fee.
