Muffin Bake for Warming Center

For many of us, Thanksgiving is a time for family gatherings around a table laden with good food. For our neighbors experiencing homeleseness, it's another day where survival means staying warm, finding enough to eat, and a night at the Warming Center. Five west side congregations are joining Asbury United Methodist to give thanks together, while also remembering those who are hungry. They are preparing a Thanksgiving 'breakfast in a bag', beginning with a muffin bake on Saturday, November 16th from 9-noon. The muffins will be frozen as just one of the foods included in the breakfast bags, which will be packed following their ecumenical Thanksgiving service at 6 PM on Tuesday, November 26th. Until we have enough housing for everyone, shelters save lives. Please join us in offering a some healthy food and a note of kindness to brighten Thanksgiving for those who are in shelter this season.
