Boston Day and Evening Academy's mission is to engage young adults to build a vision for their future through supportive relationships and meaningful competency-based learning. BDEA offers a highly supportive environment in which students can self-pace through our academic model while benefiting from emotional, physical, and mental health services. Classrooms offer student-centered, culturally-relevant, work-based and project-based learning designed to make academics meaningful and inspiring. Staffed with community partners and full time employees, students have access to a full suite of comprehensive, individualized post-graduate planning services. BDEA also offers two different program models - Flagship at the Wheatley Campus and BDEA 2.0 at the Timilty Campus - to accommodate students' needs.

Academic History










Admission Order and Lottery
By charter school law, all Horace Mann Charter Schools, including BDEA, must admit students in the following order of preference:
  1. Siblings of students currently enrolled at BDEA. 
  2. Students who are currently enrolled in the public schools of the Boston Public Schools District. 
  3. All other students who reside in the City of Boston.
