AMSI Summer School 2025 - Application Form

AMSI is pleased to partner with the University of Sydney (USyd) to host AMSI Summer School 2025 from 6-31 January at their Camperdown Campus, Sydney and online.

Applications for AMSI Summer School include submission of this form AND payment via the USyd online payment gateway (which you will be redirected to when you submit this form).

Applicants can choose to study one or two subjects - view subject guides
With permission from their home university, students can gain credit for one subject
(It is your responsibility to discuss with your honours/masters/program coordinator to confirm your eligibility and the process you need to follow at your home university in addition to the AMSI Summer School application form in order to receive a credit. (e.g. enrolling in a shell subject. AMSI subjects are not a cross-institutional enrolment))

Please provide the contact details of your honours/masters/program coordinator or Head of School. AMSI Summer School organisers may make contact with them to process your application.

Every effort will be made to accommodate your first preference/s, however, acceptance is not guaranteed due to subject maximum capacities. We recommend nominating an additional preference.

NOTE: Algebraic Knot Theory is currently at capacity. Please join the wait list and we will contact if there are any vacancies

You are strongly encouraged to attend in-person at the University of Sydney to maximise your Summer School experience, however virtual participation is also available.

Note: While AMSI and USyd will endeavour to provide the best experience possible for virtual participants, not all of the elements of the program will be available remotely, and some functions may be limited.

The intended recipients of the information are the Event Organisers and any service providers as required (for example, lecturers, caterers and accommodation providers).
We ask for identifying information such as your name, email address, date of birth, gender, personal mobile number and residency status for the purposes of creating accounts and logins for the Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas, and for official reporting purposes to stakeholders (such as government departments and AMSI Members). Only aggregate data which does not identify any individuals may be published.
The information which you provide is confidential and will not be disclosed without your consent unless the disclosure is authorised or required by law.
You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information we hold, or exercise your individual rights as applicable under relevant privacy laws, unless this would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others or would contravene AMSI or USyd's other legislative obligations.
