Thank you for your interest in the Access Services Associate Program built in partnership with Penn Medicine!


Are you eligible?

 All applicants must be a resident of Philadelphia; commit to the full training schedule; possess a high school diploma or GED; be unemployed, be tobacco-free and computer savvy. Candidates for WPSI's Access Services Associate Program must provide proof of having received the COVID-19 vaccine by Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 to be considered. Employment at Penn Medicine requires an annual influenza (flu) shot and other vaccines.


Because this part of the application process can take 45-minutes or more to complete well, first answer the questions below to determine if you meet the requirements to fill out this application.


Important: Because of the short time the application will be open, you may receive emails inviting you to schedule an interview within 48 hours after submitting an application. Please check your email frequently for invitations and updates. No follow-up is necessary. 







Program Description
What is the Access Services Associate Program?


The Access Services Associate Program is designed to connect participants to the training and supports to build a career at Penn Medicine. This program consists of virtual sessions held on Zoom. Graduates will have the opportunity to interview for full-time, open positions at Penn Medicine starting at $17.69/hr.


All applications must be submitted by 5PM, on Friday, June 21st, 2024

Who should apply?

Compassionate, customer service professionals that are comfortable speaking on the phone for long periods of time and using a computer for data entry. Experience working in a call center is a plus. Commitment to the full training schedule (below) is required: 
  • In person sessions, Mon – Fri, 9AM-12PM, 7/15 - 7/19 and 7/29 - 8/2
  • Facilitated group conversations via Zoom, Mon - Fri, 9AM-12PM, 7/22 - 7/26
  • Additional one-on-one and small group virtual meetings several times a week between 1PM – 3PM
  • Approximately 2 hours of daily reading and reflection exercises
  • One self-scheduled, 30-minute Career Coaching session per week via Zoom
