If you work with a community, you most likely engage with children, or with parents of children. Due to children's limited understanding, their vulnerability, and unique legal protection, ethical dilemmas arise when engaging them, particularly if the children live in an underserved community. Our two speakers will provide examples of real-life dilemmas - such as the ethics of institutionalizing children in orphanages, using images of children in communications, and navigating value conflicts with parents - and will share practical frameworks and tools on how to address them. You will have a chance to engage in discussion and think about your own work with children through an ethical lens.
