The Robinson-Appel Humanitarian Award recognizes and honors Cornell undergraduate students for their outstanding community engagement efforts and provides support for their projects addressing community-defined needs.

Three awards of $2,500 each will be made for use in community engagement activities as directed by the recipients' project proposals. The focus of an applicant's efforts may be the Cornell campus, the Ithaca community, or a location outside Tompkins County but within the United States and its territories.

Semifinalists must be available the week of March 10, 2025 to virtually present a 20-minute prepared presentation of their project and respond to follow-up questions from the selection committee. Awardees must be available to attend the award presentation on the evening of April 8, 2025.

Applications are due February 10, 2025.

All application uploads must be PDF files and titled according to the instructions below. Please be sure to include your name within each document as well.
