This exhibit amplifies the diverse voices and profound contributions of Black femmes in the art space. “Resilient Voices” invites viewers to explore a vibrant tapestry of creativity that reflects the unique experiences, struggles, and triumphs of Black femmes.

Through a carefully curated selection of pieces, the exhibition highlights both established and emerging artists, showcasing their innovative approaches to storytelling using visual art as a vehicle for self-expression.

Join us in honoring the strength, beauty, and creativity of Black femmes as they reshape narratives and inspire future generations. This exhibition is not just a showcase but a call to recognize and celebrate the vital role of Black femmes in the art world and beyond.

Exhibition Details:

Location: The Center, 208 West 13th Street

Opening Reception: Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, 6-8:30pm

Duration: Work will be up January 27th – March 31st, 2025

Eligibility: Open to black femme artists of various mediums (Painting, photography, Mixed Media, etc.) Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate sculpture or video submissions.

Deadline for Submissions: Wednesday, January 8th, 2025

Artists must be based in NYC, and/or have the ability to hand deliver/ship work to the space, as we are unable to pay for art transport.
