About Diocesan Youth Commission

The Diocesan Youth Commission is a team of high school students and their adult advisors. Commissioners meet throughout the school year to shape and oversee youth ministry in the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta.

Attendance Requirements

In addition to the monthly Commission Zoom meeting, we ask that Commission members miss no more than two (2) youth events during the program year. (The Zoom meetings will be scheduled according to Commission members' best availability.)

Eligibility & Expectations

Members of Youth Commission are high school students who represent God, our Church, and our Diocese in Middle and North Georgia. All students and adults on Commission will be expected to model the following:

A growing faith.
Regular involvement in your home parish.
Adherence to our Community Covenant.
Kindness and a coachable attitude.
Follow-through and self-management.
Leadership ability or interest.
