Thank you for your interest in applying for the Shared Equity Program at CHT. We require this pre-application form so that we can make sure you are ready to purchase before you fill out the full application.

2. Have you attend a 7.5 hour HomeBuyer Education workshop at CHT or another NeighborWorks of America organization in the last 3 years?

3. Have you attended a one hour Shared Equity Informational Meeting in the last year?

4. A requirement of the program is that you have at least $3,000 in personal savings. Do you have that amount in your savings account now? Please Note: if you have income that restricts the amount you can have in savings, do you have almost the maximum you are allowed?

5. Most homes in our program have monthly costs of more than $1,400 per month. Can you afford to pay this or more?

6. Our program has income limits based on how many people you have in your household (HH). Please review the chart. Is your household income less than the limit of your HH size?

7. If you receive housing assistance from a Housing Authority that you want to use to purchase a home, have you spoken with them about the requirements to move your assistance to homeownership?

8. To purchase a home through our program you must be able to get a mortgage through a local lender/bank. CHT does not offer mortgages to purchase a home. Do you think you'll be able to get a loan from a lender?
