Abstract Process
Studies on basic, translational, and
clinical/psychosocial aspects of tuberous sclerosis, and
lymphangioleiomyomatosis are welcomed.
Abstracts
will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee to evaluate significance,
innovation, and impact. Highest scoring submissions may be selected for one of the following:
- Platform Presentation: Eight abstracts will
be chosen for Platform Presentations during conference sessions. Early career researchers are encouraged to
submit an abstract. Platform presenters will receive The Francis G. Byrnes
Travel Award. This $1,200 award is intended to cover costs related to
travel and registration for the conference.
- Poster Presentations and Awards:
- Abstracts not selected
for Platform Presentations may be selected for the Poster Presentation session,
which is on display throughout the conference.
The Poster Chair, selected designees, and patients will vote on the most
meritorious in basic science, clinical, and translational fields. The winners
will receive a $200 prize to be awarded during the conference.
- Poster Presentations
and One-Minute Abstracts: Six to eight
researchers selected for poster presentations will also be asked
to present a one-minute summary of their research before the well-attended Wine
and Cheese Evening Reception on Friday, September 26, 2025.
The deadline for submission is Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:59pm EDT. No abstracts will be accepted after that date.Notification of selection for presentation and the format of presentation (Platform, One-Minute, poster) will be issued via email after Friday, July 21, 2025.
Abstract Guidelines
- Abstracts must meet acceptable
scientific and ethical standards and contain data not published at time of
submission.
- Abstracts will be reviewed by the
Organizing Committee to evaluate significance, innovation and impact. The
Committee reserves the right to accept or reject abstracts based on relative
merit, thematic considerations and adherence to submission criteria.
- All accepted abstracts will be reproduced and distributed
to attendees unless the Foundation is notified in writing (see publication opt
out below).
Your abstract must contain:
- A descriptive title
- List of authors and institutions
- An introduction/rationale for the study
- The methods used
- The results
- Conclusions of the study
Case reports are acceptable.
Abstracts must be written in English and must not exceed 300 words. Please submit as a Microsoft Word document using 11 or 12 point Arial font.
All submitted abstracts must be saved using this naming convention: LAST NAME.FIRST INITIAL. ABSTRACT TITLE.doc or .docx.
