Are you eligible?

To be considered, all applicants for the Aseptic Technician Program must: 

  • Be a resident of Philadelphia; possessing a minimum of high school diploma or GED  
  • Be unemployed or underemployed  
  • Must be able to commit to the full training schedule 
  • Must be available to work overnight shift.  
  • To be considered for this program, you must be able to work overnight schedules as listed below in the application.
*This is a hybrid in-person and virtual program

Overnight Availabilty
Graduates of this program will have the opportunity to interview with Iovance for a full time position, you must be able to work overnight schedules as listed below.   
  • Sunday – Wednesday (4 days), 6:00 PM – 5:30 AM (11-hour shifts) & Alternating Week – Sunday – Tuesday (3 days), 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
  • Thursday – Saturday (3 days), 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts) & Alternating Week – Wednesday – Saturday (4 days), 6:00 PM – 5:30 AM (11-hour shifts

Program Description



What is the Aseptic Manufacturing Technician Training Program?


A program that prepares graduates with workplace and technical skills to be successful in the life science industry.  Through this program, graduates will be prepared to connect to Aseptic Manufacturing Technician roles where they will support the production of cell therapies to treat disease.  


In this program, we offer: 

  • Cutting-edge job connection strategies resulting in 93% of graduates finding employment  
  • A $150 weekly stipend while in training  
  • $15/hr. during the on-the-job training experience  
  • A college-adapted course to provide participants with a foundation in life sciences at the Community College of Philadelphia 
  • For select candidates, the opportunity to interview for open roles starting at $27/hour at Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc.  

All applications must be submitted by 5PM, on Tuesday, March 25th 2025.

Who should apply?

Inquisitive, detail-oriented professionals with a strong attention to detail and focus on quality, accuracy, sterile processes, and aseptic technique. Commitment to the full training schedule (below) is required: 

Training Schedule:
  • In-person sessions at The Skills Initiative, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 12 PM (4/28/2025 – 5/9/2025) 
  • 7 weeks of laboratory training at The Community College of Philadelphia, Monday - Thursday, 9 AM – 5 PM (5/12/2025 – 6/26/2025) 
  • Industry Exposure Days, Fridays (5/16, 23, & 27))  
  • 12 Weeks of externship at Iovance, Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Between 7/7/2025 – 09/26/2025)  
  • Approximately (5) hours of weekly reading and reflection exercises  

*This is an in-person program with virtual elements, so broadband internet is required to complete the training.
