LEDA is looking to select LEDA Scholars and Career Fellows to attend our inaugural Law School Summit. This virtual event will be held June 4th and 5th 2021.


During this 2 day virtual event, participants will:

  • Strengthen their understanding of law school, including admissions, the law school experience, and legal career fields 

  • Discuss the experience of pursuing a legal education from the experience of being a first-generation, low-income, and/or student of color.

  • Connect with an assigned law school mentor to create personalized goals, prepare for the application process, and learn what to expect in law school.

  • Expand their professional network, with networking opportunities with potential and current law students, alumni, admissions officers, and employers

  • Attend an admissions fair and network with representatives from top law schools


Application Components:

  • General Information (Name, Email, etc.)

  • You will be asked to answer the following prompts:

    • Why do you want to attend law school? How does law school fit into your overall career trajectory? (Approximately 250 words)

    • What barriers or challenges do you foresee in your journey to law school and/or a legal career? How can LEDA help you overcome these challenges? (Approximately 150 words)
