We are excited that you want to register for the Introduction to Leadership course at Wedu! Before you start, please read the instructions below and answer each question carefully. We look forward to reviewing your application and hopefully welcoming you to the Wedu community in the coming months!

Instructions:
    1. Kindly check your eligibility before applying. The Introduction to Leadership course is open to all who:
      - identify as a woman*;
      - are at least 18 years old

    2. Please answer in English and pay special attention to specific answer formats.

    3. Make sure to answer every required question as incomplete forms cannot be processed. The information you submit may be subject to verification in later stages.

Code of Conduct at Wedu

Thank you for your interest in joining Wedu’s Community. A culture of care sits at the heart of how we strengthen and nurture women’s purposeful leadership journeys and we expect every person in our global community of women leaders and gender equity allies to contribute to this culture by upholding the highest ethical standards. This Code of Conduct outlines the behaviours and principles that we expect individuals to follow while engaging with Wedu:


  1. Respect and Inclusion:

    • Treat all individuals with respect, dignity, and fairness, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other characteristic.

    • Embrace and promote diversity and inclusivity within the community, fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.

    • Remain alert to power dynamics in your interactions and develop respectful relationships with fellow community members.


  1. Safe Environment:

    • There is zero tolerance for any form of verbal, written, or visual harassment, intimidation, abuse, discrimination, or abuse of power. 

    • Adhere to the values and mission of Wedu and refrain from behaving in ways that could negatively affect the organisation’s reputation.

    • Choose actions and behaviours that uphold the well-being of every individual in the community so that everyone feels valued and safe from any form of harm or threat.  

    • Embrace kindness to create a warm and welcoming space by refraining from using sarcastic, insensitive, derogatory, or sexually suggestive comments or gestures. 

    • Report any concerns related to the well-being or safety of community members or allegations of abuse directly to the Safeguarding Officer at safeguarding@weduglobal.org. 

    • Report any observed violations of this code of conduct to a member of Wedu’s team in a timely manner or write to community@weduglobal.org.


  1. Confidentiality and Privacy:

    • Respect the privacy of community members, particularly regarding sensitive information.

    • Obtain explicit written consent before capturing, sharing, or using any private or confidential information.


  1. Responsible Communication:

    • Engage in open and respectful communication, valuing diverse opinions and perspectives.

    • Avoid engaging in personal attacks, offensive language, or derogatory remarks.

    • Embody honesty and transparency, ensuring genuine representation without providing false or misleading information about Wedu or your engagement at Wedu.


  1. Accountability and Integrity:

    • Take responsibility for your actions and words, maintaining a high standard of integrity.

    • Proactively address any conflicts of interest that may compromise fairness, objectivity, and the reputation of yourself or Wedu.


  1. Allyship for gender equity: 

    • Support and actively work towards achieving gender equity. 

    • Recognize and challenge gender biases and stereotypes, promoting equal opportunities for women leaders.

    • Encourage and uplift women leaders, providing them with opportunities for growth and mentorship.

    • Foster collaboration, sharing knowledge, resources, and support to help each other succeed.

    • Follow the programme guidelines and instructions provided by Wedu, adhering to requirements and seeking clarification when needed.
